Cabin Fourteen
Cabin 14 was built in the late 1940’s and was originally the home of the first owners of Kimp’s Kamp, Freda and Dallas Kimple. The cabin also served as the home of Jim and Harriet Kimple and John Kimple, owners after Freda decided to retire.
Cabin 14 was remodeled in the spring of 2020 by the current owners of Kimp’s Kamp. The kitchen, dining area and living room were enlarged/reconfigured to create an open concept. A huge peninsula with granite countertops was built to accommodate family meals with views of the lake and the “new in 2022” playground. New kitchen cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and flooring were also added during the remodel to enhance the knotty pine walls.
The cabin has a large entry area, perfect for storing fishing and hunting gear or toys for the kids. There is also a back door that leads to a small deck area with a picnic table and grill.
There are 3 bedrooms in Cabin 14. Two bedrooms have a queen size bed each, and the third bedroom has a king size bed, the only king size bed at Kimp’s!
Lastly, Cabin 14 is equipped with a full size air conditioner and furnace, both new in 2022!!
All cabins except Cabin 6 and Cabin 14 have heat pumps for air conditioning and heat. Cabins 6 and 14 have central air and heat. All cabins have a deck area with chairs, charcoal grill, and a picnic table. Each cabin has a full size refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and basic cooking and dining utensils. We do not supply towels, but we do supply bed sheets, comforters, shower curtains and toilet paper. We ask guests to dispose of their trash in 1 of 2 dumpsters conveniently located on resort grounds.
